Here Are The Questions To Provide More Insights

The NIDOEgypt President Addressing The Media

Japathinz: It’s an honor to have you here with us today Mr Peter Olufosoye

Peter Olufosoye: Thanks for having me too. I am honoured.

Japathinz: A lot have been flying around as per adverts concerning the B2B summit coming up in December. I can bet people have questions on their minds to ask but no chance to. I hope you can clarify some of these unasked facts.

Peter Olufosoye: I will really do my best to answer all, making prospects more aware of the benefits of blocking these three days off on their calendars. *smiles*

Japathinz: Firstly we like to know what instigated this idea. Why B2B? What does it even mean?

Peter Olufosoye: It’s no longer a misconception that developing a business from the ground up to maturity is a last-ditch effort. The challenge is significant when it comes to owning a small business. Many business owners struggled because they were unable to locate the essential information regarding their activities. We can all concur that it’s now about the survival of the “best informed” rather than the fittest. I think the prosperity of a nation’s economy depends on the achievements of its small and medium enterprises.

Countries progress when small and medium-sized enterprises thrive. We believe that connecting decision makers from the business sector with SMEs could significantly assist individuals.

Furthermore, Nigeria, my country, has much to gain from Arab business opportunities, and similarly, Arabs have much to learn from my country. This summit serves as a significant opportunity to foster a potential business partnership between the two countries.

Japathinz: Thank you sir for that succint reply. However, why Egypt? Why do you think this business meeting should take place in Cairo?

Peter Olufosoye: Egypt is a country strategically located in the Arabian region that links the gulf. It’s very near to Europe and situated in the central region of northern Africa. There is no doubt that Egypt excels in business. Throughout the years, evidence has emerged of the swiftly increasing innovation Index regarding the business environment in Egypt. From manufacturing to clothing and textiles, hospitality, sports, entertainment, renewable energy, oil and gas, and Agribusiness, Egypt has always kept pace.

As previously stated, we plan to access the Arab market for the African Community. Let’s explore how Nigerians, in particular, can capitalize on the rapidly growing business sector in Egypt, which serves as a gateway to the Middle East.

Japathinz: So what are the categories of business niche we looking at here?

Peter Olufosoye: We will have trailblazers in the following fields: Banking and Finance, Oil and Gas, Agriculture, Health services, Manufacturing sector, Renewable Energy and Power, Construction, Real Estate, Tourism, Education, Sports, Media- that is Entertainment and ultimately Arts and Culture.

Japathinz: We can see that it’s a 3-day affair, what activities should we expect for each day?

Peter Olufosoye: The first day is intended for a visit to key factories in Egypt. This can assist in intimating individuals with updated information and advancements as per manufacturing, packaging, and export markets. To enhance the ambiance and create a more relaxing experience, we will include some sightseeing around various cities in Egypt. The second day is intended for serious matters..*smiles*. There will be a training/questions and answers session with the decision makers in the specified categories. The third day concludes with a more leisurely event (a gala party) to foster connections amongst businesses.

Japathinz: Alright, that came across like an Edutainment Business Program… laughs. Never going to be a boring moment. Individuals out there ought to be aware that they will receive great value for their time and money. Now is the Nigerian Government, as represented by the Embassy in Egypt, aware of this programme?

Peter Olufosoye: Oh yes, they are. Infact the program is powered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Egypt and we have the unwavering support of Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, OON- NIDCOM.

Japathinz: Are the target attendees only from Nigeria?

Peter Olufosoye: No. Though the majority of the attendees are from Nigeria, albeit, we expect people and businesses from all over Africa.

Japathinz: Will small businesses be permitted to showcase their products?

Peter Olufosoye: Yes there will be exhibitions and stands on rentals. But whatever this entails, we will make sure its fairly simple and affordable. No stressful procedure.

Japathinz: Are we looking at having this summit annually? Because this may help to keep tab on progress whilst mapping the impact reach.

Peter Olufosoye: This is exactly the plan. Having this Conference every year so as to stay abreast of business development and Innovations. All things being equal, we project having a thriving business community after this summit.

Japathinz: Thanks so much sir for this amazing brief. We hope we will get more from you if the need arises. Lastly, Can you kindly drop the contact details for further enquiries from people from around Africa. You know someone somewhere might have a question that we couldn’t answer here.

Peter Olufosoye: Please direct all enquiries to: [email protected] or call +201114130135. I hope I have been able to answer nagging questions and shed light for clarity. Thanks for having me.
