Here Are 100 Countries To Live, Work And Visit

100 Countries: There are places on the globe that are better than others for living, working, and sightseeing. However, which global cities combine the qualities of being the greatest destinations to visit, live, and work? The answers are in an annual report from the international consulting firm Resonance. Resonance lists the 100 most well-liked cities worldwide each year according to factors including travel, employment, and quality of life.

The approach for 2024 examined over 270 locations with a population of one million or more. It then employed 24 variables, ranging from cultural norms to educational attainment, to assign a ranking to each location in three categories: liveability, lovability, and prosperity.

For the eighth time in a row, London has taken home the crown this year. “London remains the most influential city in the world,” the Reports stated. Despite catastrophic COVID lockdowns and financial ruin. In spite of Brexit. in spite of the European War. The city is more resilient than ever and is discussed on a worldwide scale.

Why is London such a magnet? The capital of England is ranked first on Resonance’s liveability and lovability indices. Additionally, it outperforms every other global city in a number of subcategories, including Facebook check-ins, Instagram hashtags, and Tripadvisor ratings. In the subcategories of culture and educational attainment, London also fared well.

Take a look around you; London’s proof is everywhere. From the sales of opulent residences to financial investments, there is an abundance of riches. Resonance reports that London has attracted more foreign direct investments into the technology sector from overseas corporations since 2018 than New York, Singapore, and Dubai combined, according to fDi Markets, the Financial Times’ foreign investment tracker.

There are also many things to love for tourists. The food industry is reviving after dozens of the city’s most iconic restaurants shuttered over the pandemic. Additionally, “dozens of recently opened hotels await with equal daring.” Travellers are also responding; with an astounding $16.07 billion spent by foreign visitors, London came in third place.

Paris is the second-best city in the world to visit, live in, and work in. According to Resonance, the city is “future-proofing itself with visionary sustainability and investment attraction.” Despite facing “tremendous social and economic challenges,” Paris has numerous justifications for ranking second. Paris is now the most popular metropolitan tourist destination in the world, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council, with a $35.6 billion hospitality sector last year.

New York City ranks third on this year’s ranking. “With a bewildering array of new shows, hotels, and parks—and record real estate prices—the greatest city in America is urban recovery writ large. “This city has returned.” Aside from New York City’s high rating, the United States performed well in 2024, placing 24 cities on the list—more than any other nation. San Francisco was the next city after New York City. The city came in at number seven overall, despite facing a few well-publicized issues. Job opportunities and infrastructure buildout pave the way as the world continues to rush in like it always has,” notwithstanding San Francisco’s well-documented difficulties.
