Top 20 Universities In the United States For International Students

The United States has long been a global beacon for higher education, attracting students from around the world. With its diverse academic offerings, world-class research facilities, and vibrant cultural experiences, it’s no wonder that American universities consistently rank among the best in the world according to international student experience.

Then, we assessed colleges using information from two federal education databases (the College Scorecard and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System); the Seattle-based software and data company Payscale; the public policy think tank Third Way in Washington, D.C.; the National Centre for Science and Engineering Statistics; and a few lists from Forbes.

We eliminated colleges that have declared their intention to close as well as those with fewer than 300 undergraduate students. Additionally, we did not include the five federal military academies in our final 500 because, despite their consistent high standards, they function very differently from the other colleges on our list.

These rankings are based on a combination of factors, including academic reputation, faculty-to-student ratio, research output, and international student satisfaction.
