Cuba and its neighbours form the Greater Antilles, a chain of islands formed millions of years ago by the collision of Earth’s tectonic plates.

Cuba has diverse ecosystems, including mountain forests, jungles, grasslands, and small deserts, home to unique plants and animals. The country is home to the world’s smallest bee and hummingbird and the world’s smallest frog, the Mount Iberia frog, which has bodies only one centimetre long.

Now, we have exclusively diverse animals in Cuba and an amazing atmosphere that allows humans and animals to survive longer than usual. The question is, why?

Cuba’s focus on healthcare has reduced infant mortality to the same rate as that of developed countries. Healthcare access is a human right in countries like Cuba, Canada, and the EU, regardless of their political system. These countries offer healthcare to all citizens, regardless of economic status. This ensures that everyone, irrespective of their status, receives the same quality of care at the point of delivery. This approach leads to higher life expectancy.

More important is the Cubans’ lifestyle. An average Cuban would rather have his or her refrigerator filled with fruits, vegetables, and natural juices than processed foods. The Cuban lifestyle is more Preventive than Therapeutic. A Cuban takes a smaller fraction of drugs than the average American, focusing on lifestyle changes rather than expensive drugs. This approach is not luxurious but effective. It’s possible to learn from Cuba’s health management without investing in costly drugs and procedures that don’t yield the same results.

Furthermore, Healthcare expenses for hospitalized patients include preventive care, diagnostic tests, and medication. Patients can also pay for outpatient drugs, hearing, dental, orthopaedic procedures, wheelchairs, and crutches. State stores often offer low prices for these items, while low-income patients receive them free.

Now tell me why Cuban Citizens and Residents will not live longer when The Healthcare system is the main priority of her Government.
